Bristol and South Gloucestershire
This dynamic service is being developed to provide independent scrutiny, challenge, and support to public sector bodies to ensure that they implement Race Equality and Human Rights.
The local democratic process must ensure that minority Rights are protected so that our democratic system and its pluralistic nature is informed by the views and aspirations of our diverse population. This means that minority and majority communities must work together for social and economic progress. Enabling people at risk of discrimination and exclusion to inform the decision-making process. Representation and participation is the key to empowerment.
