Commemorating the abolition of the Slave Trade - Consortium Of Black Groups (COBG) Position Statement & Recommendations
At a public meeting held at the Malcolm X Centre it was decided that the Consortium of Black Groups (COBG) should co-ordinate the BME response to the proposed celebration of the abolition of the slave trade.
Fayre Funder 20th November 2004 Summary Report
The purpose of this report is to give a summary on the outcomes of the Funder Fayre Day Events to Black & Minority Ethnic Groups delegates and Funders, based on the aim and objectives of this event. This will also highlight the impact of joint information and workshops to bring Funding providers in face-to-face contact with the Black Voluntary and Community Sector( BVCS). The outcome of this open day is to give BVCS a better understanding of local grant’s criteria and hence increase the number of successful project funding applications.
Voscur response to Bristol City Council Regeneration Division Voluntary Sector Investment 2006-2010, Draft For Consultation
In responding to the draft Regeneration Voluntary Sector Investment Strategy Questionnaire, we are pleased to see Bristol City Council’s (BCC’s) continued commitment to the voluntary and community sector and its recognition of the value of infrastructure support in order to build and support the capacity of front-line organisations. We welcome the establishment of the Advice Services Joint Planning Board; and the Council’s acknowledgement that there is a need to support ongoing priorities, whilst recognising the importance of responding to emerging needs.

Mulitcultural Feast 2008
BDA delivered a series of Multicultural Feasts which were in St Pauls and Upper Horfield, following on from the success of the first set deliverd in Barton Hill through the NDC Community cohesion Project. Our worker was seconded to help deliver this and was based at the Barton Hill Settlement Community Development Workers Team.
