BDA Annual Report 2006-07
The latest annual report from the Black Development Agency

As Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Black Development Agency I present our Annual Report 2006-2007. I am pleased to say that the Agency has achieved much over the past year. Relationships and partnerships have been further strengthened. This facilitated and improved the way in which Members views were collectively raised over the year.

BDA Annual Report 05-06
2005-06 has been a very challenging, uncertain and tentative time for the sector as a whole. Reviews of services, introduction of new initiatives and changes in policy have taken its toll. The BME voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSES) along with BDA have been stretched to capacity in our attempts to keep up with the pace. We had to move very quickly to adapt to a fast changing environment.

The purpose of this report is to give a summary on the outcomes of the Funder Fayre Day Events to Black & Minority Ethnic Groups delegates and Funders, based on the aim and objectives of this event. This will also highlight the impact of joint information and workshops to bring Funding providers in face-to-face contact with the Black Voluntary and Community Sector( BVCS). The outcome of this open day is to give BVCS a better understanding of local grant’s criteria and hence increase the number of successful project funding applications.
